This is a very different photo than the one we just saw. Here’s President Lyndon B. Johnson, in the Presidential Office on board, with his grandson on his lap. It’s literally the same desk as the previous photo with President Nixon. But what a different scene.
President Johnson always had his family on board — it was very important to him. One thing, too — he was a tall man — 6’3” to be exact. But he liked having special chairs that made him even taller — it gave him a sense of authority, I think, to be a little taller than whoever he was speaking with.
We’re almost at the end of the Corridor of Presidents. Let’s look at these last two photos — of Presidents Kennedy and Roosevelt.
